To the Max

Maxi dresses are one of my favorite summer styles. They are super comfy, super cute, and not to mention perfect from day to night. I love the way they graze the floor (i'm 5'3 so I should really say sweep the floor), and make me look long and lean. As my vacation slowly approaches-only 10 days away now!- I have been vigorously shopping online trying to find some new dresses to pack. Nail It

Hi, my name is Marla and I am a mani/pedi-ocholic. There I said it. Send me to NA why don't ya.

Whenever I have a chance to get a fresh mani/pedi, I do it. I usually go every few weeks with my mom for our "girl" time, but when it doesn't fit into our busy schedules, I opt for the DIY mani/pedi. I have a pretty extensive nail polish collection, and for some odd reason I can ALWAYS remember the names of the colors that I have gotten during past mani/pedis...now that's pure talent.

Essie recently launched the Summer 2011 collection and I cannot wait to go to the salon and get one of these scrumptious colors. I'm thinking the pink one in the middle (super bossa nova) will be great for my trip to Punta Cana.

Friday Happiness...Memorial Day Weekend Edition

I was so happy to have the long weekend, but so sad to see it end today when I had to head back to work. My weekend went from no plans to lots going on in a matter of hours on Thursday morning. I headed down to Long Beach Island, ate tons of summery foods at bbqs and hung out with friends. Hope you all enjoyed the holiday and soaked up some sun! Happy summer!!

I'm a JCrew Kinda Girl

Ok, so I am totally obsessed with everything J. Crew. From the styling in their catalogs to the layout of the store...oh yea and their clothes are pretty amazing too. I feel like I can never go wrong in there. I recently purchased these black cropped pants and think I need to have them in every color. I think I need all of these outfits too....cha-ching, cha-ching. cha-ching- ready to swipe some plastic.

Stripe Right

Espadrilles always seem to be the perfect shoe for summer. They are easy, comfy, and usually go with just about any summer outfit. I've gone through my fair share of super stacked espadrilles, but this season I am totally obsessing over flat striped ones. Everyone from Tory Burch to Target is carrying this awesome summer trend and I am dying to get my hands on a pair...decisions, decisions. Have any favorites?

Sarah Tucker, author of the adorable and whimsical blog Fairy Tales Are True, has an Etsy shop that I just stumbled upon and I am so happy about it. She travels all over the world with her baseball player of a husband (umm hello fairytale!), and snaps beautiful pictures of the places she's been. I am a serious sucker for flowers, beaches and boats, and Sarah's got that on lock down. I am in love with a few of her pieces and might need to buy some to hang in my bedroom. Sarah, your shots are gorge..I'm in love!

TGIF! I thought this week would never end. Between the endless rain, craziness at work, and lack of sleep, I am so ready to chill this weekend. How was everyone's week? Any plans for the weekend? My agenda includes getting a much needed pedicure, seeing some family, eating fondue and seeing the movie Bridesmaids. Nothing crazy, just chill and relaxing...exactly what I need. How many more weeks until my vacation??
