Boston Cream Cupcakes

Yesterday's unwelcomed rain turned out to make for a very productive evening...in the kitchen. I've been wanting to try a new cupcake recipe, so I figured it was the perfect way to end the weekend. 

Boston Cream donuts are my favorite, but for obvious reasons, I try to avoid them...only when my will power fails, so I let myself indulge. Not that cupcakes are any better for you, but I feel as though I can justify eating a cupcake, more so than a donut. So when I found this recipe on Pinterest, I couldn't resist. 

I put my own twist on the recipe, by filling the cupcakes, as opposed to slicing them in half and sandwiching the cream filling. It makes for a better element of surprise.
