Weekend Recap

And back to work it is. Why is it that the weekends fly by so quickly? Maybe because I always seem to pack them with lots of activities. This weekend was no exception. Friday night was a blast at the Red Sox v. Yankees game with my family...the Sox won! Woo! In fact, they swept the Yankees 3-0 in the series. Atta boys :) Saturday was a day of graduation festivities with my boyfriend, his parents, my parents and friends. We ate way too much food, drank plenty of beer and enjoyed his being done with school forever...or until he decides to go back and get his doctorate...which I am betting is going to be sooner than later. Sunday was dedicated to cleaning out my desk, aka, throwing everything out that I haven't touched in a year, and then my brother and I went back to Yankee stadium to watch the Sox win, yet again. Successful weekend? Yes indeed.

Well hello there Friday! This whole week I kept thinking we were a day ahead of what we actually we were, so you can imagine my happiness when I woke up this morning and realized it was actually Friday. This weekend is completely full of fun and exciting things and I can't wait to post some pics next week. My boy is graduating from grad school tomorrow and I am so excited for him to join the rest of us and become a real person...now go find a job :P. I am also going to 2 Red Sox v. Yankees games this weekend, tonight with my whole family and Sunday with my brother. Unfortunately, I am the only Sox fan, so I am hoping they kick ass so I can rub it in my fam's face. That will be glorious! Fingers crossed everyone, fingers crossed! Have a super fab weekend, and I'll be back on Monday!

Think Pink

It's a beautiful day here in the city. The sun is shining, the air is warm, and I am stuck at my desk in my office building on Lexington Ave. wishing I was outside reading a book and soaking up some sun. The only thing getting me through today is knowing that I have DATE NIGHT to look forward to with my boy. We haven't had a date night in a long time, and I am excited to go to this really good sushi restaurant with him!

Aussie Fashion Week

Tommy Ton is known for his amazing photos taken all over the world, capturing some of fashion's most exciting and exhilarating moments on the street. He's been down under at Sydney Fashion Week and I am loving all of the cool shots he's taken so far. The Aussies really know how to mix and match prints, colors and styles. I think  I need to plan a trip there soon to learn from them.

It's the Little Things in Life

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Had a great day with my mom and family yesterday...she loves her new Coach bag that my brother and I gave her!

So my friend Ranu, author of the super cute and adorable blog sunshine girl (go check it out!), recently posted about this awesome blog called little things. It's a site that is dedicated to the simpler things in life. You know when someone holds a door for you and it makes you smile because the 10 other doors your walked through that day no one in front of you held for you? Things like that. I am going to do as Ranu did and post some of my favorite "little things" from the site. It was so hard to choose the ones that I did...I could have posted 100 of them!

The week is over! Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week! My Cinco de Mayo celebration was lots of fun, but now I am so ready for the weekend ahead. I am excited to hang with my boy tonight, see my bff C again tomorrow (we will be celebrating-I say this lightly because I am so sad she won't be returning to the dirty jers- her move to Newport), and celebrate Mother's Day with my momma on Sunday!
